South African High Commission

The South African High Commission

Since the formalisation of diplomatic relations in 1994, and the establishment of the South Africa – Ghana Bi-National Commission in 1999, major progress has been made in the South Africa – Ghana relations.

South Africa regards Ghana as a strategic partner in the context of bilateral relations, the West Africa region, and the continent in the pursuance of the African Agenda, South – South cooperation and in the promotion of a rules-based International System. The two countries share a common vision on issues of political and economic integration in Africa.

Due to the political, ideological and social similarities, people-to-people and business relations have grown from strength-to-strength over the years. Today, you will find a large and successful Ghanaian population living and working in South Africa, and you will also find the presence of South Africans in Ghana.

In conclusion, whether you are a South African citizen in need of assistance or information from the High Commission, or whether you are a friend of South Africa in search of information for your next holiday or business trip, we trust that this website and related links would assist you accordingly.
