MTN customers enjoy special fares on Emirates Airline

Ghana’s leading telecommunications service provider, MTN Ghana, has announced a partnership agreement with Emirates airline, offering MTN customers special ticket fares on selected destinations.

Through this partnership, MTN customers will enjoy 15% and 20% discounts on Economy Class and Business Class tickets respectively.

A statement from MTN said the offer can be accessed online via mtn.com.gh/personal/loyalty, adding that customers eligible for the special rates will be notified by MTN via SMS.

The Acting Chief Marketing Officer for MTN Ghana, Noel Kojo-Ganson, expressed his excitement at the opportunity MTN was offering customers. He said, “MTN as a global telecommunications brand is happy to provide great experiences on Emirates Airlines, which is one of the world’s most valuable airline brands.”

Common External Tariffs Allow Industries to Expand – Dr Siaw

Dr Edward Larbi-Siaw, Tax Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, has urged Ghanaian business community to embrace the ECOWAS Common External Tariffs to expand their business.

He said Common External Tariffs allow industries to expand to take over from other businesses and urged the business community not to be afraid to take such opportunities.

Dr Larbi-Siaw was speaking at the Ghana Revenue Authority’s (GRA) 2015 Stakeholder Awards organised in Accra to recognise excellence in revenue mobilization and motivate all who participated to achieve the Authority’s objectives.

The Common External Tariff is one of the instruments of harmonising ECOWAS Member States and strengthening its Common Market.

The ceremony awarded 21 companies, including the Ghana News Agency and individuals who contributed immensely to the growth and sustainability of the economy and celebrated them for their efforts.

SADA Zones To Benefit From 20th National Trade Fair

Alhaji Adam Sulley, Board Chairman of the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) said the 20th Ghana International Trade Fair, which kicked off in Tamale on Thursday, would boost investment opportunities in the SADA zone.

He said it was the first time such an event had been moved from the national capital to the Northern Region, stressing that the objective was part of the strategic rebranding of the Authority to attract the needed investments to the area for accelerated growth.

Alhaji Sulley who was addressing the opening ceremony of the one week fair in Tamale, urged both local and international exhibitors participating in the fair to take advantage to partner and link-up with local enterprises for mutual benefits.

The fair, which is being organized by the Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited with support from the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) is under the theme: “Two decades of International Trade Fair in Ghana, exploring business opportunities in the SADA zone of Ghana”.
