STANLIB Ghana is a wholly owned subsidiary of Liberty Holdings Ltd (South Africa) and part of STANLIB, an Asset Management group managing in excess of USD51 billion. Liberty is a leading financial services group with presence in 14 countries across the African continent. STANLIB Ghana (Previously SIMS) was incorporated in April 2007 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Stanbic Bank Ghana. SIMS was purchased by Liberty Holdings in August 2014. STANLIB Ghana continues to leverage on the existing 32 bank branches of Stanbic Bank Ghana to aid operations. Standard Bank Group, the biggest bank in Africa in terms of assets owns 53.6% of Liberty Holding and Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited. STANLIB Ghana is a licensed Investment Advisor with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Ghana. And also registered with the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) managing pension assets, collective investment schemes, provident funds, retail and institutional funds.
